Happy new year to everybody! 2016 – a round number – and yet with a little twinkle in the 6-shape that reminds us of the unexpected things that may happen when you open yourself to the world. Lifesparkz kicks 2016 off in a direction in eventmaking that I did not see coming just a short time ago. This is the year to walk the talk. It is a direction on unknown and yet familiar ground. With a framework that should work for everybody in their everyday lives to keep our planet a kind, beautiful and varied place: the UN 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). And a return to the very reasons why I started Lifesparkz in the first place: To share the beauty of life with other people in stunning surroundings. Today Lifesparkz Eco-Explorer Côte d’Azur is an event agency. In various kinds of events, I will share ways to do things that bring you joy through contact to nature and people, when you are here in the amazing coastal area of Southern France. To be alive and acknowledge the sparks of life. It may be through a trip to a village in the mountains, a cycling or hiking trip, a yoga or french course or a personal guidance to how to find your way around to activities of your wish. I will guide you to such experiences through a service to make a personal plan for your stay. All based on principals of sustainability. My missions is: Come to Southern France, experience what it feels like to explore yourself in the beauty of nature in the French Riviera, and get inspired on how to work with the big goals of sustainability on a low key and everyday level. Why? Since my days as a student, I have been courious on how we can make the concepts of sustainability into daily living, politics, economic bonds and ways of treating eachother in society. I did research on eco-farming in Thai villages, where farmers shared stories by singing! of how to change conventional farming methods with use of loads of pesticides into more sustainable ones. Even before I went to university, I was on a journey to Nicaragua, where I spend a week in a poor village and tried to help the farmers by working in their pinaple fields (I did not do a very good job as a pinaple farmer, I am afraid, as I felt thirsty and dirty, as the spoiled rich city girl I was). Those experiences marked me forever. I learned that we as humans are connected on a global scale. The exotic fruit I get in a supermarket was produced by someone, who tries to make a living from it. The pesticides used for producing a water melon have effected the persons’ health spraying it, the soil around it as much as the chemicals will effect my body. During years of working in a big organisation I have learned about social aspects on a work place. We are also everyday effected by the words we are met by from people around us. I put much effort into learning about and practising communication in a big organisation. I felt the energy of people around me, when they were excited, distressed, happy, sad, creative and bored. Psycic work environment is closely connected to the ways we approach eachother in a an organisation. How to act in a social responsible way in an organisation, and the ways our work processes are managed, are also closely connected to the ways we communicate and treat eachother. I have learned that sustainable and social responsible solutions start by asking and listening to the individuals who experience how things work for them everyday. Recognising individual stories, talents, personal competencies and dreams. And develops through connecting people, so great minds meet and create opportunities where none seemed to exist. We all learn differently. I learn best when I can share information and thoughts with other people and then digest them while I am being physical active and in beautiful places, where my mind can rest. Here, I find inspiration and belief in new ideas and connections of thoughts.
My hope is that I through activities that speak to your bodies and minds on travels here, can help you some steps further to happy days and encourage your spirits to make a life in tune with nature and connections between people. I use the UN SDGs as a framework: Through Lifesparkz Eco-Explorer Côte d’Azur I seek to contribute to: Sustainable cities and communities (goal 11), Health (goal 3), Education (goal 4) and Partnerships for the goals (goal 17). You can read about the UN SDGs here. Ferie i Forum - travel fair in Copenhagen I launch the activities and events that you can experience in the Côte d’Azur this year at the fair: Ferie i Forum 2016 on January 23-24th 2016 in Copenhagen. I will be happy to meet you there. You can get a 50 percent discount on the entrance through this link. Use code: 214780 Joyous New Year! Tina Baltzer |
