​Discover the coast and mountains South of Barcelona by road bike


Just 100 km South of Barcelona, you find one of the best areas for cycling in Spain!

As soon as you come to la Costa Dorada, you fall in love with staying next to one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, while you can jump on the bike and ride 1000s of kilometers through fields of fruit trees and up through winding roads in the nearby lower - medium high mountains where the highest peaks are at around 1000 m. Professional road bike teams come for training camps here for a reason!

The roads are quiet and in good condition. You can stay on the more flat, cycle for hours in to the mountains or cycle a combination of both. The mountains start after around 20 km cycling on the flat from Cabrils and the climbs offer mild-medium gradients (3-7%).

You can visit villages and towns with their distinct local history and charm. ​The Romans were here, Gaudi was born here - in summertime a lot of tourists are here.

​Don't worry: we will visit out of the main tourist season when the climate is friendly to cyclists, who love to go rolling the wheels in the sun for a few hours.

We stay in the Mediterranean Sport Village in Cambrils, which offers private apartments of high quality and all sorts of facilities that you like to indulge in when on an active get-away.

​Lifesparkz Bike Tours collaborates with one of the highest rated sports resort complexes in Europe, ​The Mediterranean Sport Village.

From Fall throughout Winter and Spring this is the place to be for athletes from all kinds of sports for training camps and events.

​During your stay as a group of cyclists, you will enjoy:
  • Living in a modern and well-kept private or shared single/ double room apartment that has a private bathroom for each bedroom, kitchen- and living area as well as a private terrace in green spaces.
  • B&B, half- or full board buffet with a large selection of nutritious food made for athletes.
  • Local bike guides.
  • Daily access to a fully equipped fitness area.
  • Dedicated secure bike storage facilities with mechanic equipment at hand. 
  • Big common areas for relaxation by pools (pools are open end of March - mid November).
  • Supermarkets, a bank and other shops in the village.
  • A visit to the Spa, where you can recover in cold and heated pools or a sauna.
  • Walk 10 minutes to access the wide sand beach and have a swim in the sea or walk/jog to nearby Cambrils or Salou.
  • Use the indoor cycling training room that is big enough for 30 people.
  • Use modern and fully equipped conference rooms that can be adjusted to the size of the group and up to 100 people.
  • Having a play of tennis, paddle tennis, mini-golf or visit the trampolines!
  • We can organise visits to nearby towns for a half- or full day of sightseeing in Tarragona, Reus or Barcelona.
  • For triathletes it is possible to rent a 25 meters pool in Cambrils or Salou, or an Olympic 50 meters pool in Tarragona.
  • Although the beach is only a few steps away and invites for long open water swims!

Custum design cycling event packages

Lifesparkz Bike Tours will design a package with you that meets the needs of your group. Local guides will guide us, but I will join the trip and make sure that everything works out well so you can relax and enjoy your time on and off the bikes.

You need to be minimum of 6 people and stay minimum 4 nights - from that on, we can mix a package that will suit your group and for quite a large number of people.

Periods: October - Mid May. (Spring 2024 is already nearly booked)
Yearly closure 24th December - 8th January.

In Spring 2024 there are availabilities left in February and the first two weeks of March. We can extraordinarily make a 3 night event on 11-14th April 2024.

Price example for 8 persons:
  • 5 nights in shared 2 bedroom apartments with double rooms (a bathroom per bedroom)
  • Full-board in the Mediterranean Sport Village buffet with a great variety of healthy food
  • 3 days of guided cycling
  • 1 half day excursion to visit a local town by a private bus
  • 1 hour/day per person access to fitness in the Mediterranean Sport Village
  • 1 visit per person during the stay to the SPA in the Mediterranean Sport Village
  • ​Airport transfers from/to Barcelona airport and the Mediterranean Sport Village
